Maybe the Best Knight Army Transport?

Image
I think I have found one of the BEST Knight Army Carrying cases around. In fact, I could be convinced that it is one of the best magnetic cases there is.  Ohhhhh wood case. How Posh. Knight armies are tricky by nature to transport. Some of the biggest models there are in the 40k line up means that many magnetic options are just not viable. Yes, we could use foam but that has issues with paint rubbing off or more corrective touch ups needed over time (lets not mention parts breaking from tugging on the foam). I personally have come to loathe foam over my last 15 years of various games.  This leaves Magnetic options. Now I still own a Battlefoam backpack with original Magna Rack/Rails when I got my Ork army back in 2018. This is a great system but has a flaw. Height management is harsh.  They use brackets to extend the height. This is good but remember you are ultimately limited by the case that envelops system. Batlefoams Magna Rack There are others as well like Army Case as well which

Chaos Knights Points; The Reckoning

"With the field shrouded in the darkness of the steel chaos monstrosities, we trembled in fear" Points Time! OH BOY! The time is nigh! We finally have points and let me tell you it is 95% great! Well maybe 90? 85? Its great for us in a vacuum, good overall! First off, I will ask, WHO at Games Workshop decided to make shooting in some armies silly cheap? While we have a case or two of this which is great, melee went up... and I am not sure why as melee in general is weaker. Well lets get down to the best part of all of this the points! I am going to list each unit, what I rated them pre-points and what they are post points. You can read my initial review in Part 1 here . Knight Tyrant Pre Points: 6 out of 11 Post Points: 7 out of 11,  With it being cheaper than the Knight Valiant, I think we have a real interesting contender for TONK Knight! Toss Panoply on this in Flamer and Harpoon and just WALK up the table. 8" move is not great but we can at least walk through most t

Part 2 of the Great Release! The Rules and stuff

"As the pall of darkness falls and hope is sundered, woe be the foe who stands in the path of my machine" For those that have not seen part 1 where I go over and rate each unit, please check out this link. Part 2: The Dread Boogaloo In this article I will be reviewing the rules that appeared in our Index. Overall this will be shorter than Part 1.  Army Rules ahead! This was shown to us by the Faction Focus article. Overall these rules are hard to quantify. Against Orks which are mainly LD7 will suffer more than lets say marines which are LD6 (or small demons with their silly banner!) Due to this being hard to quantify and the fact that we are one of the few armies that has an Army Wide that turns on in the later parts of the game, I am not really able to say if this is good or not. In my heart I feel that it is just not that great.  This is a tentative 7 our of 11 for me. (Praise Malal) The Detachment Rule are up next This detachment is interesting, based on what we have see

The Great Release! Chaos Knight Codex Review

"The blare of corrupted war horns was heard over the battle causing a shiver of fear as the pall of darkness spreads over the battlefield." Today is a great day. Good, bad, ugly we are getting our Index and that means I can fully playtest one way or another! Initial thoughts before reading the index: I will keep this section brief. Overall after seeing the Space Marines (especially Dark Angels) I was 100% ready to see an underpowered set of units.  In this blog, I will be going over the base rules, and units. There will be a part two covering the Army Rule, Detachment, Stratagems and Enhancements Rules to know before hand: Super Heavy Walker: This is important. I dont know how much terrain will change but overall in the SE of the US I dont expect to go over 4" tall buildings or terrain as they wont exist (crates are an exception here). Do note, we cant fall back and shoot anymore. I checked the rules and could not see a rule that allowed this. If you do have something, l
